Please click on the link below to download and read the document describing the obligations and requirements expected of Managers and Coaches for Elk Grove Babe Ruth Baseball League. All coaches must complete these items prior to the draft for a given season.
Click on the link below for Mandatory completion of the $19.95 "Coaching Youth Baseball" course for new or current coaches who have not taken the course in past years. All new Coaches and Managers must pass this course and provide certification to the league prior to the start the season (e-mail copy of certificate to Joe Matlen at email@example.com). Returning coaches who have passed the course previously need not take it again.
Click on the link below for Mandatory completion of the $10.00 "Sexual Abuse Awareness Training – Youth Sports" course for new or current coaches who have not taken the course in past years.
Use the "Sign up" Link on the first page, select Single User $10, then fill in the form and select the "Sexual Abuse Awareness Training – Youth Sports ($10)" option from the pull down menu. Make the payment and follow the instructions for taking the course.
All new Coaches and Managers must pass this course and provide certification to the league prior to the start the season (e-mail copy of certificate to Joe Matlen at firstname.lastname@example.org). Returning coaches who have passed the course previously need not take it again.
Once you have completed the mandatory "Coaching Youth Baseball" course and the "Sexual Abuse Awareness Training – Youth Sports" course and obtained certificates of completion for each, you may register as a Coach for the upcoming Elk Grove Babe Ruth baseball season. Even if you are a returning coach we will need you to register again so that your information will be logged in the Sports Engine system for the upcoming season. You will need to sign up for a free Sports Engine Account first, and then once you register for Babe Ruth, next season's registration will be simpler by pre-loading most of the fields in the Registration Forms.
For all coaches who have not yet been fingerprinted in order to coach Elk Grove Babe Ruth League specifically, the attached BCIA 8016, REQUEST FOR LIVE SCAN SERVICE form is required to get your finger printing done at Mail and More. Mail and More is located at 5050 Laguna Blvd #112, Elk Grove, CA 95758.
Please ensure that you provide this information to your assistant coaches as well as many of them are not on this distribution list.
